# Private Data Bridge

Verida makes it easy to securely bring your personal data from platforms like Google, Telegram, Facebook, and more into your private Verida Vault — your safe, encrypted space for data.

For example, if you want to transfer your posts or contacts from Google, simply log into your Verida Vault and use the Google connection to securely move that data into your private, encrypted database on the Verida network. You remain in full control over your data at all times.

By default, Verida retrieves data from the past 3 months. In the future, users will be able to adjust this to fetch older data. Users will also be able to set up live updates or schedule automatic data syncing to their Verida Vault. Fetching more historical data will need more storage and memory.
